Sorry for the hiatus. My grandfather aged 102 passed away today.

One Thousand Words will resume after the funeral is completed. Cremation will be done this Friday.

Update: The ceremony went well. There were some pictures taken during the prayers. Waiting for them to be processed before it's in my hands. Will post some of them up if i'm able to.

Talented Birds in Nature

The talented Lyre Bird is able to imitate sounds of other birds in its' attempt to impress the ladies. Sir David managed to find one that imitates something unexpected.

The other talented feathered one is the Bower Bird. I couldn't get the embed, so view the video here. The Bower Bird's nest looks like it could be a fairy's little home. :)

This music-beat following game is a watered down version of Guitar Hero. And it keeps up with the best of them by having great music selection and rocking tracks. Most of the roxxin songs need to be unlocked though.

Micro Power Generator

A sugar-cube-sized electric generator that feeds on environmental vibrations has been developed. It could power swarms of wireless sensors or even medical implants, researchers claim.

Imagine having this somewhere on your car, the vibrations can now be used to power up some blinking lights! It's not much power really. But give the engineers a few years and things might get interesting.

Game: Champion Archer

Play as the only archer in this battlefield. Support your troops to reach the other side.

Use WASD to move around and click and hold to shoot your arrow. I recommend getting the 'remove power bar' skill as soon as you can.

A puzzle game. The initial stages are not set in incremental difficulty. But 20+ stages seems to have only one possible solution. I stopped at stage 29. :D
